Frankly, I still visit MySpace every other month or so. And actually posted up a new track. My question: How do I notify my "friends" that I have posted up a new track? Geek advice appreciated. Ott

Your post reminded me of this funny thing I saw on Facebook:

MySpace is not the best site for posting your music. You should get a Soundcloud account and post your music there.

Yep. The action is in the mobile handset space; the iPhone rules, and iOS doesn't speak Flash. If none of the above made any sense, just get a Soundcloud account, so mobile listeners can hear you.

Your Myspace friends are notified automatically when you post new music, so long as your settings and theirs allow it; you can connect your Myspace and Facebook profiles so your FB friends can see your Myspace activity.

Sheeesshhh! MySpace obsolete! Reverbnation? Soundcloud? Facebook? How many sites can someone follow, much less keep updated? The "easier" the web makes it to have your music heard, the more sites you have to patronize. If you had to pick one site, which one would it be? Ott

Funny twist of karma that it's called MySpace...as in an endless, frozen, near-total vacuum.

Reverbnation updates both Facebook and Twitter. So you only need to enter it once.
