Guitar Hero vs Rock Band?

I'm asking this of everyone I know. Our family wants to get either Guitar Hero or Rock Band for XBox 360 for Christmas, but I don't know which one is better. Any gamers out there?I'd been wanting to try Guitar Hero for quite a while, and we finally made a shopping trip to the Big City (Portland) and went to browse in a Best Buy. They had both games set up next to each other, but it was still hard to compare, especially with the pressure of all the other shoppers watching you play.All I can say is, Gawd, they're fun!! Our house is full of musicians, but nobody plays guitar or drums. So we were having oodles of fun jamming on the game versions.Anyway, one of my main questions is: If you buy the Guitar Hero game and controller, can you use that same controller for the guitar in Rock Band, or vice versa?Santa appreciates any help you can give me.Kathleen

I haven't played Rock Band yet, but Guitar Hero is TONS of FUN. I'm pretty sure that yes, the guitar controller is interchangeable between the two.
