No , its not an hostile thread about taxi, actually taxi seemsrealy great for music bussiness opportunities , the thing is :Ive been wandering around the success stories section in TAXI's site , its seems realy good , but i noticed 1 thing that maybe theonly reason im not jumping on signing in as TAXI member . all ofthe success stories comes from the U.S , and some from the U.K it got me thinking...TAXI says they have lots of members worldwide (dont rememberthe exact number right now) what about the musicians outsidethe U.S or U.K , the foreign language people ?... i saw maybe 8 artists from other countries that made something throughtaxi in the side scrolling bar section in "success stories" butthats a 8 out of maybe 40 or something like that, and the BIGShot success stories is only from the U.S....So what im saying is that im a musician from israel, and i wantedto know how come theres no much success stories from my areaor from other countries ? is there a reason ? can i as a musicianfrom israel actually make deal through TAXI ??...

If your music is good and up to the requirements, and you can find listings that are good targets... the answer is certainly... your chances of success with US companies are as good as mine, as well as listings from EU... it is an international exposure. I have seen listings from EU based companies that look like good opportunities for US and Israelis... ArkJAck

henryb, our buddy Martin (aka gitarrero) lives in Switzerland and has already made two deals thru Taxi despite having only been a member since September 2006 I think. So the answer is, absolutely! You have to have great music of course, but that's true for anybody. matto

I got a my first contract thru submissions in the mail today, and I'm from Canada. I don't think you have to be from North America at all. But I do think you have to clearly understand what the listings ask for. steve
Thanks

Hey Henry,..as matto already wrote, me as a little swiss cheese already got 2 deals through taxi since sept 2006.besides that I have contacts in the US (outside of taxi) that brought my tracks into 5 different MTV shows. so yes, if your tracks fit to what the listing parties are looking for, there are lots of oppurtunities.cheers,Martin

Hi, I am so hyped about joining Taxi. The only reason I haven't joined yet is because I am waiting on my income tax check to pay for the membership. I really don't have the money now but as soon as Uncle Sam knocks on my door...I'll be a fellow Taxi Member. I look forward to talking with each of you and hopefully collaborating with others. I mostly write songs for Country and Pop and I also do lyrics for just about any genre.

From what I've read on these boards in the past several months, there are more than a few songwriters from other countries who've gotten deals through TAXI.
