Are there any sort of naming conventions or suggestions or do's and don'ts for music libraries?Some of you have heard my violin piece that I temporarily named Life's List. I've never been crazy about that title, though, and only named it that because it sounded a bit "Schindler's List"-ish.However, the piece itself has always sounded a little french to me, and a bit romantic. So, I prefer the title "De tout mon coeur", which means "With all my heart". Maybe that's too sappy of a title -- although maybe less so when said in French. Is having a french title going to be a problem if it goes onto a music library, though? For example, let's say that someone like Pump Audio picks it up. Is the title "De tout mon coeur" too obscure, and not descriptive enough?Having never been a video producer, I don't know what goes through a video producer's mind when he/she is scrolling through audio titles for that "perfect" audio cue to put in the scene.Are they any do's and don'ts for naming your songs for music libraries?

Hey Kevin.Nice piece. Good intonation!I think you might want a more descriptive name. Think film. What sort of scene would this work for. Maybe something like "The Journey Home" or "Long Goodbye"... When you do get this piece placed, you'll more than likely be asked to write a description of the piece. However, it never hurts to have a title that invokes relevant imagery.Good luck with the piece. Sounds great.Z
