I know, that was terrible. From the air, it looked like a huge steamroller had plowed through a suburb.

I live in Woodhaven subdivision in Gallatin (the one all over the news) got power back a few days ago. Me and hubby are okay and our house was the least damaged in the whole neighborhood. Our neighbors 6 houses down were killed. Very sad. Good news is the car dealerships are having scratch and dent sales.Jimi

well it came back on 4 days later, then it was intermitent for some time. You have to realize that most houses in my subdivision arent here anymore, the storm literally carried many of them away, so they had to go house by house of the residents still living here, etc.

Jimi,I'm really happy to hear you are OK. That was a devastating storm. It's very sad about your neighbors. I'm not sure what to offer but let me know if there's anything I can do to help. After Katrina, I participated in CD Baby's fundraiser that raised $165,000. Since Nashville is Music City, is anyone fundraising for the people who were displaced?BTW, I remember you from Tonos.Nomi(PS: CD Baby sent me this email:Nomi - Just a short note to say THANK YOU for putting your CD sales in the Red Cross charity. In the end, it raised a total of $165,060 over the last 7 weeks, sent directly to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund through our local Portland Oregon branch.(You should have seen their faces when we brought in that very first check, in person, for $113,000!)Thanks again.Derek Sivers, CD Babyhttp://
www.cdbaby.com/P.S. We donated $40,000 of our own CD Baby money too, in case you were wondering.
