LOL ... Yeah, my phone won't care if my material is too dated, too fast, too slow, too much guitar, too little guitar, not hooky enough, not enough bass, too much bass, vocals not out front enough, vocals too far in front, chorus comes too early, chorus comes too late, too hot, too cold, too short, too long...and every other phrase I've heard, etc, etc... Casey, Interesting timing for you question. CD Baby has just done a deal with Verizon so that all the music they sell will be available for ring tones and who knows what else. Digital distribution is clearly a hot way to go. How the heck you do it mechanically I couldn't say.

Hi Casey,Funny you bring this up, just the other day my father-in-law came over with a "Ring Tone Studio" software that allows you to make your own ring tones. I haven't played with it yet but it should be good. We've tried doing ring tones for some of our recording clients with mixed success. We had emailed him the audio and he somehow got it on his phone. But it sounded terrible through the phone. I think there has to be some eq fanagaling (is that a word) to make it sound good. Take out some of the muddy lower frequencies and such like. When I had done a Google search on this a month or two ago there were lots of people with their own methods to do it. Maybe you can try Googling. Sorry I don't have any specific instructions for you. Good luck!Theresa

There is software for that though I haven't used any so can't recommend. I did just get the email announcement from CD Baby but haven't figured out where to buy the ring tones from.
