Licensed Synth Sounds

I'm working on a video game, and it's my first one. The EASY way seems to be to just employ some of the odds and ends electronic sounds such as I have in my drum machine patches in Battery. Will licensing problems arise from that? Or are those completely free if I own Battery? And besides battery, I mean all the synths that come in logic and whatnot. Are there ANY that you have to worry about?
Thanks, J

Each one is different so you have to read the licensing agreement or call the company for an explanation. *Generally* speaking, the deal is usually that you can't use just one factory patch or beat by itself accapella , that it has to be combined with at least one or two other sounds, patches, beats or instruments. But... some stuff like the majority of the loops from Big Fish Audio have a licensing agreement that says that you cannot use any of the loops in a piece of music that will be placed into a music library.

Why they have that restriction I have no idea. With Big Fish if the loop library contains a "Construction Kit" then that limitation applies. You have to ask for a waiver if you want to place a track of music using even one little loop into a music library.
So anyway, check with the individual company for their licensing permissions
