Selling music to the public?

Before joining Taxi I was selling most of my music online (iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby) and still do. Don't make a whole lot of $$$ this way but do get sales from time to time. Any thoughts on whether this is good or bad when trying to pitch a song to a library, film, ad, etc? Thanks.

Hi David,

Generally most deals allow for you to continue to sell music to the public in that way.
But there are exceptions to that rule. You'd have to read the agreement of each prospective library/publisher.
But usually selling to the public does not impact the business of licensing to Film&TV, different client base.
