When entering meta data
Is it better to just give an email. rather than a phone number
or both
If you miss the call they may pass but if they send you an email you will see it

Thanks
Don

I would think e-mail is better but that's just me. I just started tagging all of my songs and have been putting my e-mail.

Should meta data be added to the files we are uploading for the screening process, or just when we (eventually) get a successful forward and send material to the new customer?

I think that you should add your info right at the get go.
I remember a forward that I had. I waited for some kind of a response. ( We all know that type of feeling)
Never got a call from the Library.
Had i entered my contact info maybe I would have been contacted but at the time I didn't know how.

Then on Taxi TV there was a show where the guest Adam White went on about the importance of entering meta data http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/22253689
He said that is your contact info
Once it leaves Taxi that is all the Library has to contact you

So I would say do it on the submission

I put my email AND phone number in the metadata of everything I submit to the TAXI Screening process. That metadata will go to the listing party when TAXI forwards you.

One of the things I wanted to know never having this experience is
(a) Will the library call and email ........sometimes I get spam on my phone and don't answer if there isn' t an id. You know you've just won a trip to.. so sometimes I ignore
I just don't want the library to call then forget about you because you didn't answer.

In my experience. The Libraries prefer to use Email... so check your spam before it disappears. Or get an email addy just for this purpose and never use it for anything other than professional uses and turn off your spam filter.

I use Go Daddy for my webpage and a specific email addy through that website for this kind of correspondence. And I use Outlook instead of web-based stuff. Call me a control freak, but I prefer the hands-on approach.

Wait a minute... So all that Taxi forwards is the mp3 we uploaded, no contact information other than the file?

Hi Paulie,

When we forward songs, we forward the MP3 AND the contact information you give us (both e-mail and phone number).
