My question (and it may be a stupid one!) to the more experienced here is, is it in any way presumptuous, pretentious, or otherwise bad form to do that? My gut tells me that they wouldn't create an account for you if they weren't interested in hearing more, but at the same time I want to make very sure I don't screw up things.

Thanks, Graham! Glad to know I wasn't the only one who is eager but at the same time not wanting go appear overbearing. Of the two tracks of mine, one is fully approved while the other is waiting on final approval of my metadata. That should happen pretty quick. At that point, I'll be able to download the contract.

Like you, I think I'm going to ahead and upload another similar to the ones they took. I guess in this business you have to be bold.

It took me a while to get that, but I got it.

Don't be afraid to reach out through e-mail with questions, if you're on their roster that means they like your music and should want to hear more of it. Establishing a personal relationship with your publishers can be really beneficial for everyone. That said, not all publishers are responsive but it can't hurt to try.
