question about sharing royalties

Hi - I am a total newbie and know nothing about the business of music. I wrote a song (music and lyrics) that a friend of mine whose voice is a perfect fit for this song, wants to record in studio with a band, and then sell at his shows and online. He did help rewrite one verse of it. What is your advice about how to setup the financial arrangement? Thank you!
