From a Taxi forward? I think I've heard as long as five years... (and as short as a month)

Yeah I've heard five years as the longest as well. As far as the shortest, I've been contacted by Publishers before even getting the Forward email from TAXI.

Why do you ask, Ronnie? If it has to do with putting a self-imposed hold on a track, there's been some excellent advice on this in the forums.

2 years for me, and by then I had licensed it to another library. But I was able to offer the first library other tracks, and made a deal that way. So it's all good.

Also, like Russell, a couple times I was contacted by libraries even before getting the Forward notification from Taxi ... it's nice when that happens!

If a track is forwarded, I don't consider that to be "a hold", because most forwards do not turn into deals, I keep pitching it until I get an offer.

Agreed, however, I won't pitch it to any of my existing library contacts for a little while if the forward is for an Exclusive listing.
