Signing a contract..

Hi All,

I was wondering if those of you who have signed exclusive contracts with a publisher that was the result of a TAXI forward, do you have an attorney look it over or just sign it? Or is there anyone in TAXI admin or some department who reviews these for members?

Thank you in advance for your input!

There was a TAXI tv episode with a lawyer that touched on some points, but TAXI doesn't provide a legal service. It's up to the member to take care of themselves. I think it also depends on the deal. If you're pitching yourself as an artist, then you better have a lawyer look at the contract. If you are signing a few tracks might be different.

There's also one called "Music Library Contracts with Erin Jacobson, Esq" but I couldn't get it to link for me.
