I have a music library interested in some of my songs. I've sent them WAV files and now they are looking for 15seconds, 30 seconds and 60 second professional stingers. What exactly are they looking for?

Thanks!

The 15/30/60 second alternative versions are shorter edits of the same song—usually with the hook in there, with nice clean endings.

Stings are very short (maybe 5 sec) clips of musical 'punctuation' pulled from somewhere in the track—often used for scene changes. Here's an example:

Thanks for your response. The music library wants 15 sec, 30 sec & 60 sec stingers. All the songs they are interested in, has vocals. So should the stingers include vocals or just the music building up to the vocals. Or could it be a guitar lead solo? They never specified exactly what they wanted.

If you check out this cue of mine and Dan Luedke's you will see a 15 and a 5 second stinger at the end
https://soundcloud.com/robert-cass-mcen ... -n-stinger
These are used to transition scenes or cut to commercial
Let me know if this makes sense

MAKE SURE YOU FINISH ANY REQUESTED STINGER (also called bumps sometimes) A HALF SECOND BEFORE THE REQUESTED TIME
so in your case the 30 second stinger needs to be complete AND silent by 29.5 seconds (60=59.5)
Congrats on the Deal!
Cass
