Music supervisors might go to soundcloud if they know someone there but it is pretty difficult to find something specific but I think that is becoming less and less common. Music supes have become accustomes to slick music search interfaces and such because it makes their life a lot more efficient. Searching for something on Soundcloud you are going to have to wade through an infinite amount of stuff that is out of scope before you find what you want.
IMO it's cool to share content from but I wouldn't depend on it much to get found by a supe. They have access to a lot more tools these days. I'm sure it happens every now and then but I doubt it's anywhere near the norm.

Yeah, just send the music libraries a Soundcloud link of your song to their inbox on SoundCloud. I got a deal from doing this.
