How can these labels/publishers get away with claiming copyright on a PD song.
Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but Sony may own the mechanical, but Peer sure as hell can't own the publishing (although Peer has been pulling this crap with Cuban music for a long time).
And writers? I don't think so, arrangers yes.
