yes another cdbaby quesion

Hey friends! I have another CDBABY question and i know it's been beaten to death but i'm having trouble finding an answer to my question through my searches in the forums.
I understand that I should not give CDBABY publishing rights. Does this mean that I need to do the "standard" CDBABY deal AND register my song with my PRO in order to receive payments for plays?
