Hi team,

I have had tracks that two different companies have wanted to sign. Both have asked me for a SSN/tax ID number.

Im from New Zealand and am functioning as a sole trader/proprietor in NZ.

Does anyone know whether I need to be applying for a US EIN number? Is my New zealand tax number sufficient?

Im a bit stuck!

1) tell them where you live
2) they will likely send you a W8 form
3) fill out and return
4) problem solved.

The only people that need a valid tax ID / SSN are US citizens. The rest get sorted out with this W8 form.
