Am I figuring the math right?

I remember recently being in a discussion about forwards and the ratio of forwards to returns (on the last TAXI TV maybe?) so I decided to go look at my list of submissions. If I count all of them (not counting the old burrito cassette days) including the legacy, there are 18, and 4 forwards, which comes out, if I'm not mistaken, 1 in every 4.5 submissions. However, there were 9 legacy submissions and 1 forward, and currently there are 9 submissions and 3 forwards, which is an improvement. 1 in 9 the first 4 years, and 1 in 3 in the last couple of years. I'm still not sure of the math, but I think I should be encouraged. What do you think?

Wishing I were better at math...

Math was my least-favorite subject...
I know that some is better than none...
and more is better than less.
That doesn't help, I know; better dial 9-1-1... (wouldn't it be easier to just dial "11"?)
:?

Actually - I think that 9-1-1=7.
And most rotary-dial phones don't go up to 11.

Hey Merry

I guess some people would ask, how much have you paid to TAXI in total per submission and is it worth it?

Greetings!
Tom

33% is a decent forward rate but if I am reading your post correctly the volume just isn't there ?

Congrats on the forwards! Getting forwards is always an accomplishment as it means you can make the right kind of music. :D

As far at the math, the sample size is just too small to draw any conclusions from. Just keep plugging away!

Reminds me of what my Architectural Drafting instructor would say to me, when I was a young man...
"You do great work - just not enough of it."
:? 8-) :P
(pardon my silliness, Marion... didn't mean to hijack your serious thread here).
:? 8-)

That's it exactly! I need to write WAY more and submit! :) And, yes, to me it's worth it! I'll keep on plugging! Thanks for all your comments!
