Work For Hire Agreement

I have located the musicians that played on my demo from literally 30 years ago. They are all willing to sign a Work For Hire, which I failed to secure back then. Do I "back date" the document using the original date of recording, or do I reference the original recording date in my Work For Hire, and then have them sign it with the current date of signature. I cannot find anything that references this particular situation. Thank you in advance for your input.

It doesn't matter as long as they sign. If you use an e-signature program it will get time stamped at time of signature, BTW.

I would say use current date as the date with the signature. It is the most honest. If you need a WFH document template, drop me a PM.

Thank you Casey. I think the WFH template I have used before will work. I'll just have to revise it a little for the dates as mentioned. If for some reason my template doesn't seem right, I will contact you here in the Forum. Thank you kindly for your response. Nancy
