Hi everyone:
I'm submitting my music to taxi, but I didn't get any forwards yet. What exactly do I need to do?

I have all my material copyrighted but I didn't register completely yet with ascap. Do I need to do this now? I think I want to register with ascap both as a publisher and writer. Is this the way to go? I

Is there anything else to do? Is ascap better than BMI? I heard people say there's no difference. Thanks for the help

-- keep working on your tracks. Use peer to peer to assist you in understand why you are getting returns. Hang in, we've all been there.

-- you can register yourself as publisher and writer in preparation for getting a deal. But do not register your works. Leave that to the music publisher or music library.

Is there anything else to do? Is ascap better than BMI? I heard people say there's no difference. --- they are pretty much the same, except that you don't need to register as a publisher with BMI to get your publishing - the song is just registered appropriately.

Write some beautiful music! Music that makes you feel something and more importantly makes other people feel something. Doesn't matter what collection society you are with, if you write something truely great it will find it's place. Good luck!
