I licensed a track through an online company for: "film or motion picture/internet" also described as "Background music for a small videoproduction used as part of a website" in Sweden. Is this something that will need a cue sheet through PRO in Switzerland?
Also, online publisher was willing to follow up w/client's cue sheet filing for all of the song's non-exclusive publishing. Seems it's something I could do (I have my own pub. company set up through ASCAP) and keep the publishing share, yes?
Any thoughts from you guys that are further along in your film/TV placements than myself? I have yet to get things going in the US.

Re: Internet film usage in Switzerland - Needs Cue Sheet?
hi steve
I'm swiss and I know the swiss PRO (suisa) quite a bit.
btw: are you speaking of switzerland or sweden? those are two diffrent countries, though they're both in europe...
anyway, suisa basically can issue a license for online-usage of a song. however, if the licensing agreement of the library the songs was placed through states that this usage is inclusive the paid fee, than suisa won't be able to issue a license.
internet is currently not considered as a "broadcast usage" in switzerland. the 2 licenses for internet usage are: 1. streaming, 2. download (ie if the internet user is able to download the vid/music or not). so there won't be a cue sheet.
either way, I'd check the licensing agreement with the library first.
hope that helps,
martin
