Buyout Samples

A question I see more and more when submitting music to libraries is asking if a song uses samples from a buyout package (examples East West, VSL, Sampletank). I understand if it's loops that I would definitely check this as a yes. But what if I'm using EWQLSO and writing parts using the sounds but not necessarily any loops from the libraries? Do I check yes or no? I know I should know the answer to this but I'm just not 100% positive one way or the other, I've tried searching for an exact answer but not having any luck.
Thanks!
Theresa

I'm venturing a guess that they are referring to "samples" as loops, not samples of instruments that you then use to create your own parts. But I would ask the library to clarify.
Basically they want you to say that you are not using any uncleared "samples" (loops) and that you are cognizant of the license agreements of any samples that you are using. It probably shields them from any legal action, basically the copyright owner would come after you because you signed that you didn't use any uncleared samples.
Gotta love those attorneys (or not! )

Thanks Mazz! You confirmed our suspicions over here. I've seen it several places lately so thought I'd get some other opinions just in case.
