Financing the score for "The King's Speech"

A very interesting article in the NY Times this morning. You can read ithere

about the financing of the score. Seems interesting to me, though I must admit I know very little about how scores are actually paid and financed currently. But I do like the sound of this:
“Value in recorded music is being overlooked,” said Nigel Sinclair, the co-chairman of Exclusive Media Group, a film financier that also has a standing deal with Cutting Edge and worked with the company on the vampire fantasy “Let Me In.”

And hope that, maybe, people will start to realize once again the value in recorded music.

Anyway, I thought it was interesting.

Cheers -

Very interesting my friend !

It's nice to see people investing money in order to get great music (and make a profit for everyone).
In a world of shrinking budgets, it's surely a step in the right direction. It's quite ironic that film
music is always last in the production chain-and last when it comes to allocating cash.

Looking forward to watching the film-it's not out yet, over here!

take care
