Assuming your computer is setup properly to communicate via WIFI, if the WIFI spot has nice fast DSL or Cable internet, it shouldn't be a problem. If the signal is iffy, or has frequent drops, then uploading large files will be challenging. If you can access a public computer (library, for instance) and you have a USB stick drive, then that might be an option. Just take your USB stick to the computer, plug it in and upload from there. Of course, the provider of the computer has to allow you to plug in your drive.HTH,Mazz

Do you need step by step instructions on how to do this? We can help with that too. You can also use file sharing services to upload your files to as they usually have direct access to the files for people who need to view them or download them, and there are several free ones out there.

Libraries can be picky about bandwidth, or so I hear.

thanks for the help ~ i've tried this a few ways now w/no luck #1 tried @ the local dunkin donuts that has wifi - signal is slow and you get cutoff every 1/2 hour, also the ftp program immediately tells me the connection is lost before it even starts#2 using the public library - I do have access to the "stick" or jump drive and use it often there for uploads & d'loads- the program this music library suggests to use has you install it on the computer - the public library won't let you install anything on those computers and I don't see any way it can be installed on a jump drive ? (maybe it can ?)#3 I dragged my laptop down to the public library and tried using their signal and my computer to upload - just like #1 the connection is lost before it even starts.I spoke w/someone @ this music library awhile back and they told me it was quite hard to upload to them @ any type of wifi spot ?if you have a way please enlighten me thanks..jp

JP - Do you have to load it to a particular FTP site, or are you posting it somewhere so that you can send a download link to the recipient? There are services like Sendshare.com that are browser based and handle large files very well. The files are stored there and you can send the download link to whoever you need to. All is password protected. Also, you can use your Taxi page for this. Back to FTP though, what ftp program are you using? You can put something like CuteFTP (free) on your jump drive, plug it into the library computer, and not have to install anything there to ftp. That program works well with most connections and platforms.HTH -
