Licensing to Cable TV channel?

Hey there;I'm drawing up a Synchronization/ Master Use license for a local Cable Access TV station (based in our local High School), giving them permission to use some of my production music in their broadcasts.Since they are an educational, non-profit, community based venture, should I require them to file cue sheets? Just not sure what the protocol for this kind of situation is. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions from those with experience in this kind of situation. Thanks!Suz

I would not worry about cue sheets because we're talking about litterally a few pennies. Litterally. That said, from an educational standpoint, if the station is being run entirely by students it might be a good experience for them to have to file the cue sheets. Ask the teacher in charge of the station.As for the rest of the paperwork, when I do really small stuff like this (usually for a local TV commercial or something that is only paying a couple hundred at most), I literally just put it in the invoice. I make a few sentences that say what piece of music they can use, how long they can use it for, and what media they can use it for. None of these small folks have the ability to deal with anything more complicated.

Thanks, Chris!I'll call the advisor and see what she prefers. Since it is an educational venue as well as one used by the general community, I imagine the cue sheet process would make sense . . . but then again, simple is good, too! . . . Thanks so much!Suz
