Re: Retro Soul Horns
Bill,I've used First Call Horns and have enjoyed the sound a lot.I've just picked up Liquid Horn Section but haven't used it yet. It's more "riff" oriented than First Call Horns. With FCH you have to write the parts yourself, which isn't such a bad thing!Cheers!Mazz

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

Some lower priced options. I haven't used them, so I can't say how they would work. Some of them are licks, some are samples.http://www.sonomic.com/components/displ ... :brass:721(The last one is Greg Adams Big Band Brass on Big Fish website. I don't know if that link will work. Greg Adams was the original brass arranger for Tower of Power).

Bill,I've done a number of songs with software horns in them...even signed a few.Heres' one that uses Chris Hein Horns.http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6999784It takes a bit of programing, but sounds pretty good.

Bill,if you're not in a huge hurry Big Fish is supposed to release a VI called "Mojo" this month and I think it's going to be the best thing yet short of forking over MAJOR money for Fablesounds' "Broadway And Big Band"...http://www.bigfishaudio.com/4DCGI/detail.html?1205

Thanks Matto, those sound f-ing great!!!! the demo is pretty mind blowing. My wife and I have a buyer for our house so waiting for this is perfect . . . gives me a little time for the smoke to clear and make sure that my "goes intas" are greater than my "goes outtas"
