Does anyone need a songwriter?

I am a songwriter and I have been in search for artists - solo singers or bands - who would like to use my songs or who would like me to write for them. I write songs in the following genres: Indie pop, Indie rock, Soul, Acoustic and Folk.
Thank you, any replies would be appreciated.

Your competition of today are singer/songwriters who can write, perform and produce.

But people will start to invite you into their teams, if you can prove yourself first.
Basically you need credentials (finished songs) and a solid web presence (website) in order to build your network.

Network means everything today, because if you can't do all of the above 100%, you need collaborators for what you can't do, and collaborators comes in different flavours, like pro, intermediate and rookie :D

Therefore you need credentials to prove your songwriting abilities, in order to get invited into high performance songwriting teams.

I second the motion on the networking.

In this business, people like to work with folks they know. I suggest rather than posting a help wanted ad all over the place, you get on the forum and participate, get to know people and start building relationships. Form a "what can I do for you" type of approach and be interactive. You'll find eventually that you'll gravitate to your "people" and find folks that you can easily work with.

Also, I want to hear what you can do. Simply stating that you can write these styles of songs isn't going to make me want to work with you right away. Where can I audition your skills, what credits do you have, who have you worked with or signed songs with?

I don't mean this to sound harsh, it's just that this is a relationship business and I need to know you before I can decide if I want to work with you.

Happy New Year!

Hello Stuart,
I would send you my samples. But please know that I am not claiming to be amazingly good at these genres, I just meant that I write in those genres. I hope people are not getting the wrong message :)

Yes of course, no problem. :)

Even reading a few lyrics would be good. Whatever you are comfortable with.
