Logic 10.2 weirdness

Any one experiencing strange behavior in Logic 10.2? Now everytime I pull up a plugin I get control knobs and sliders rather than the GUI. I'm experiencing a lot of latency even though I have the buffer size at 64. And when I go to the tool chest none of the normal key commands work! What up wit dat?!

I do notice some of the GUIs look a little different, but I'm not seeing a stark difference. More like a minor redesign. AS for weirdness or latency, I haven't noticed anything.

I'm not even getting the GUI, I get the controls view which is just a lot sliders and knobs. Of course I can manually switch to the GUI view but it's strange that by default it comes up in controls view. What's stranger is that say for instance I want to select the velocity tool ,it's no longer assigned to number 9 but it's assigned to a letter. It's really slowing me down.

Hmm..I'm not seeing that at all. Wonder why that's doing that for you?

Preference settings.

That's the connection I make anyway.

Thanks Len, yea I agree it's a preferences settings thing. I just don't know which ones to change and why they changed in the first place. And then there's the latency thing. I literally can't play guitar in real time, there's so much latency. It's a new computer to me, a 2009 Mac Pro modified to a 12 core Westmere, I'm wondering if there's something in that aspect that is the problem.

Well I figured out key commands thing. Apple changed them in a recent update, so the key commands I've been using for years are suddenly changed. On a day when I have to get 3 projects in on a time crunch. I love apple products but sometimes they can piss you off. But I'm still working out the latency thing.

Jon. Email me a link to your template session so I can try it out here.

Key commands: you will have to choose one of the preset layouts.

General prefs: no reason why by default you would see the control view instead of the gui. Weird. Also the latency. Btw - since my template is fairly loaded, I always run at 1024 samples - also due to using the UAD pci quad card.
To record I have the "low latency mode" assigned to a key command, and I enable that any time i record. Then toggle it off to mix etc.

Is your template newly created on logic X? Or is it a logic 9 template that you carried along?

Also logic 10.2.1 just came out two days ago.

Logic Pro X 10.2.1 is out. The update includes a new multi-threading feature,

Could be. If there's a setting in the preferences you might try changing the settings. There could be compatibility issues with the new multithreading features and a 12 core Westmere?
I´m trying out Logic Pro X 10.2.1 and Access Virus TI and found till now, it seems to run very much smoother now!
On a small sequence no latency issues or syncing problems so far. The combination was unusable before, now I have slightly hope I can bring back my TI into the production! would be awesome!

Also: Since the update I can set my multithreading prefs in the audio engine from fixed "12" back to "auto" (I´m using a modded Mac Pro 2009 Westmere 2x 3,33)
On older Versions including Logic Pro 8 and 9 there was a lag when stopping Logic: it was still playing on for at least half a bar, this issue is done now!

For me best update ever, finally full functionality of the whole Pro machines with Logic now!

 I think you violated a cardinal rule, never do any updates until after you finish and submit time-critical projects.

You should be able to change the key commands.
