Hi Guys

Has anyone tried routing Logic into Protools?
I'm trying to expand the range of instruments available to me.

I am more familiar/ proficient with PT as so would prefer to mix through PT.

I have found some YouTubes on the subject & a webpage.
I've made an aggregate audio interface using Soundflower in the Audio MIDI Setup on my mac for the audio, and also and IAC driver for the midi.

I'm stuck at the moment, as the sound is not coming through the master bus. ???
Any clues?

I am able to record onto a midi track int PT while listening in real time.
I can play the midi back with sound.

But its not coming through the master bus. :(

Rebecca, the youtube video explains how to sync Logic and Pro Tools.

The second link explains how to setup an "aggregate device audio" as mentioned in the youtube tutorial.

So basically you want to sync so that you are at the same point, so if you need to rewind or ff or record from the start, etc., you don't have to record into protools and then move the recording to be in the proper place.

The aggregate device audio, allows you to choose the Logic out to use as an input into a protools track.

Thanks Len.

I have already watched Russ' tutorials with the kitchen sink :)

I am now troubleshooting further down the process - for I Have sound, but I don't know why my master fader display is not moving/ showing any sound coming through it. I can't do any gain staging. I can't tell if any clipping is occurring.
