Don't know how I did this. I was setting up a tempo track in Logic X but now when I rewind the song to bar 1 1 1 1 the time display reads this
01:00:27:19.04. How do I fix this and not do it again.
Thanks

Go to your project settings> synchronisation and check the SMPTE or in your case you could check the Tempo List. and make sure about your SMTPE readings maybe?

I. Control-click the control bar, then choose Customize Control Bar from the menu.
II. Go to Lcd header (3rd from left of 4 headers)
III. There are 5 settings or modes.
a. beats= Bars and beats
b. time= absolute time format (minutes and seconds)
If you choose one of the 5 settings with time or tempo, or for the clock format, you go to step IV which is how you want these parameters displayed:
IV. Choose Logic Pro > Preferences > Display (or use the Open Display Preferences key command).
Display time as: (with milliseconds for standard time and not frames, bits, or samples)

Aha, that was indeed it! You have to take off a few layers of clothing to find that setting but it's there. May come in handy in the future...if I remember how to do it.
p.s. There must be a key command as well because I somehow did it on the fly.

Any Logic geniuses have Pro X and are having trouble with the "Cinematic" patches distorting?
Such as Erosion and SFX 1.
The fader is not too high, I have plenty of CPU to spare. I don't think its the I/O Buffer size .
All the other patches work fine.
But many of the Cinematic patches distort, sounds like static.
Thanks in advance!

I'm not familiar with Logic pro x or the patches of which you speak. However, because I'm a logical genius,

rofl, for the sake of the pun, I'm thinking you might be getting what is called, "sympathetic resonance or vibration".
Select a portion of audio and loop it, and play around with a hi-pass filter or notch filter, and see if it disappears. If the resonation is occuring within your monitors or headphones, it's possible others won't hear it, or you might hear it on the monitors, not on the headphones and vice versa.
The nature of the patches, cinematic, itself implies harmonically rich and explosively tuned sounds. hth

Dang. I'm sittin' here buck nekkid, and still can't find it.
Oh, wait; you said, "in Logic", never mind.

Thanks Len. The distortion happens when I export files as well as live playback. Some of the patches are pretty mellow so I don't think its volume or feedback--I think its a bug? The levels are no where near the red.
It tried working with EQ and the notch filter. What is weird is occasionally the patches sound fine--randomly.

If you could post a few downloadable files that would be great.
I've got some really cheap headphones I listen to on the internet computer. They've got really thin cheap foam covers, I took off and cleaned, and instead of shrinking they got looser to the point one fell off so I left it off. The point is that sometimes that speaker and the plastic cup isn't cushioned on my ear and will resonate sometimes.
The volume can be fine and still create a resonance, it doesn't have to go into the red. Almost assuredly it will be begin at the low end because that's where fundamental frequencies begin, and generate harmonics and overtones. Sort of why a bass voice is always better than a soprano, because of the depth of harmonics compared to the limited number of harmonics of a soprano,

just kidding
