Hello All--

I just got an email from SSL that they are now doing a subscription model for their plug-ins. I have to say, I love the SSL plug-ins that I have, but I'm not sure I want to pay $14.99/mo when they don't offer all that many different plug-ins. http://www.solidstatelogic.com/studio/ssl-native

I'm curious what your thoughts are. I know the subscription model isn't going away any time soon. More companies have started using it. But what do you think about $14.99 for SSL plug-ins?

The only plugin subscription service I use is Slate plugins.
The reason I use them is because his company is constantly adding plugins....and the plugins are really good.

A question I would ask yourself (and maybe SSL) is what are their future plans for new plugins?

If they do not have a track record of releasing new plugins, a subscription service may not be the best route.

Yeah, I think that's where the issue lies for me; is that SSL doesn't have a very robust catalog. Now if someone like UAD offered a subscription service, depending on what that covered, that would be something I might be interested in paying.
