I really like the new Chord Track in Studio One. It seems like they focused a lot more on the songwriter with this version.

Iagree, very nice thing wow it's almost magic... Does this alter the audio file in any way ? How is this even possible ?....

I saw that and am anxious to try, after my travels coming up. I've been using Studio One 3 and love it. I cant remember- when you download a new version it keeps all your stuff intact, right? Such as tracks in arranger window, etc etc etc. I/e., nothing gets inadvertently "lost" right?

you probably need to render the track to make the audio changes permanent. It's possible with pitch and time stretching. NNLS
Chroma is one method, the vamp plugin chordino can be used inside the free sonic visualiser plugin. Acid wav contains the pitch and tempo info in samples, and then uses that info inside your daw to pitch and stretch. Acid wav was probably the first type program. http://www.isophonics.net/nnls-chroma. Chordify is an online website that allows you to choose say a youtube song video
and analyze the chords. These methods aren't without occasional errors. ;) that's kind of the basic idea anyway.

usually nothing gets lost as they are backwards compatible unless otherwise stated. They will usually emphasize it very plainly if something changes and what precautions to take.

Ok but are we talking about changing a minor chord in a major chord with this ? That sounds incredible.... :o

Yeah, and Presonus have announced that we can expect a free update to Melodyne later this year, that will integrate well with the Chord Track in Studio One 4 8-)

Update installing now........

So friggin excited. Switching to StudioOne was one of the best moves I've ever made. Go PreSonus!

HEY UNCLE MIKE LET'S GET THESE GUYS A STATION AT THE RALLY!! AND DON'T FORGET iZotope too! Even though I have both, I really think Taxi members would benefit greatly from a PreSonus and iZotope spot at the rally. ;)

Happy DAWing all! 8-)
