If you pop over to Plugin Boutique you will get 2 or 3 great plugins for 10 bucks.
Izotope's Iris 2 looks like a very intuitive synth and sampler [24 bit] and Trash 2 looks like a really handy distortion filter plugin that could be used on any type of track. There is a virtual guitar plugin [Carbon] as well if you are that way inclined.

I went there for VocALign Project and picked up the Trash 2 and Carbon for free. I had a look for a cheapie if one was looking for something to pick up the deal and thought Iris 2 would be the ticket. I actually bought Iris 2 after checking out this vid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U77Tbia ... e=emb_logo

Bargain !

I hear great things about Trash 2 , lots of well known mixers seem to have it in their arsenal. It's a no-brainer at those prices.

If you pick up Iris 2 that means you have a paid Izotope product [in case you didn't have one already] which can give you an "in" to a cheap deal any time they have a really good sale. For instance in June I picked up the Tonal Balance bundle for $220 US because I had a cheap Ozone Elements 8.

That included Nectar [which comes with Melodyne Essential]; Ozone 9 Advanced; Neutron 3 Advanced and Tonal Balance. For the price its not bad and the plugins are pretty good and very usable. There is a fair bit of that "AI" stuff in them.
