My submissions are being returned for dated and poor quality sounds. What are you using and why? There is currently a sale on EastWest Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra for $374; do you have experience with this orchestra and have any thoughts? I am primarily interested in orchestral sounds.

Thank you

I have Composer Cloud (which is EWQL) and in my opinion there are some good things about the library, particularly the brass. Instead of shelling out nearly $400, you could subscribe to Composer Cloud and try it out for a while for less than $25 a month (just make sure to run stems off once you are satisfied with the track, if you cancel your subscription you won't have the instruments anymore). In addition to Composer Cloud, I have been building my orchestral VSTs with CineBrass, Spitfire (Albion One, BBC Discover), and 8Dio. If you want to buy a full orchestra outright, my recommendation would be to wait a couple of weeks for black Friday.

This is free, and good quality - https://www.spitfireaudio.com/shop/a-z/ ... -discover/

Hope that helps.

I have and use regularly 3 orchestral packs. Vienna Syncron, Spitfires BBC Orchestra and Native Instruments.

I often record multiple tracks from multiple libraries and blend them together.

Current protect has Violas from Vienna & BBC Orchestra for realism and build.

None of the above are cheap, I have invested nearly £3,400 in orchestral packs alone but it gives me the ability to reproduce StarWars if I feel like it.

I would say I have gradually built this up over 4 years. If I was starting out again, I would start with Vienna Syncron - Start with the Vienna Smart Orchestra for £200 - Also rarely do I quantise becase that removes the human player and you get comments like "Sounds to Midi"

I hope this helps.
