Hi,

Hope I didn't miss the train on this one. Need to find an app for online recording with remote collaborators.
I know Michael had the guy on during the Taxi rally who I believed is from Airgigs? Don't shoot me if I got it wrong.
(UPDATE: Sessionwire, ty funsongs)

Michael mentioned something about a discount for Taxi members?

Can someone clue me in on all of this and what my options are i.e. suggestions at this time.

Update: Looking for free but would like to hear from Taxi members. Need to record a vocal from England to NYC.

Thanks.

Reads like you're inquiring about SESSIONWIRE... (sessionwire.com)...?
but I've not tried it. :? :?: :)

Perfect read funsongs. Yes, Sessionwire. During the taxi road rally, there was some discussion about a possible discount for Taxi members.

Whatever the case is, I'm looking for a free one but would be interested to know about Sessionwire also for anyone who has used it.

Need to record vocals from England to NYC.

Why not just send the track to your vocalist and let them record their parts and send the stems back to you? Recording over the internet has network lag/delay, and the quality will not be the greatest.

A lot of us wanted to be there for coaching while the musician plays/sings. If I understand correctly, session wire is a VST, yes? I doubt that he demands real-time, just wants to be able to talk when the thing is done or to be able to cut the take off. Saves time on uploading and downloading the track to Dropbox, email, whatever.

Then why not Facetime or Zoom? Trying to record/collaborate with a DAW real-time over the internet is not really a thing yet.
