My old Mac laptop finally died this week.

Well my good ole Mac ibook finally croaked this weekend. This laptop was awesome and took a hell of a beating for over 6 years. It was used daily for 2 years as my sole DAW, then crossed over as both DAW and web surfing computer. Although 4 years ago I retired it as my DAW it still got heavy usage as the main home computer for web surfing and weekend Djing gigs.

I wanted to get another Mac laptop but unfortunately the funds are not there right now and I need a new laptop a.s.a.p. as I have a gig coming up this weekend. So I had to settle for a new Dell laptop instead. Not bad but I just love the ease of the Mac.

Next, I need to upgrade my DAW as my old G4 mac mini can’t handle a lot of the projects I’m working on now. Damn I could sure use a lotto win... :D

You know what you hardly ever hear? Really sad electronica. Think I'll go write "Requiem For A Dead Macintosh"....

That really does suck. How dead is it?? Can you not sell it to a repair shop in exchange for a super deal on another mac. Is it that far beyond repair? I know their pricey little bastards, so just trying to help. I've never seen Windows 7 but have heard good things, so hopefully DELL hooked you up with that? DELL is damned affordable isn't it?

Hey guys, it would cost me as much to fix it than to just buy a new laptop. And that's exactly what I did. I bought a new Dell laptop this weekend. (Now if I can only teach my wife how to keep those pesty virus off it)...

As far as for my audio DAW, I plan to buy a new Mac soon. :D
