Hi,
I just bought that alesis master control for like, 800 bucks, but im having a MAJOR problem with using it. Ok, ill start by saying, my daw is cubase le 4, only because it came with the M.C. Now, when i set everything up, and do the 'device setup' and whatnot, ik it connects and is working properly because everything its reacting, but when i hit 'record' you see the line going across the computer screen, and that box of whatever is being recorded, but its flatlined and when i hit 'stop' the box vanishes...

idk what to do, ive tried messing with the add bus, with vst connections, but its just not doing anything. Im thinking of upgrading to a macbook pro (regular macbook right now) and getting logic pro 9, but i cant be spending all this money right now. Also, when i drag a beat, or different audio in, i cant hear it through my headphones, i hear my vocals clearly, but no instrumental action happening.

SOME one help Please!!

Try reading your DAW's manual? (not tryin' to be a prick, here, but this has solved the problem in several other cases, fyi. ;)

I haven't used any sort of Cubase in years, but it sounds like your track(s) are not record-enabled.

Have you licensed the cubase properly?
