Smooth Jazz Midi beats - where, who, how much?

Hello all, I am looking to find
Smooth Jazz midi drum beats that work with either AD drums or EZ drummer. If anyone is aware of any sites that offer such beats, please post here. My google search has sent me on a wild goose chase to nowhere. I am not interested in loops, just midi beats.
Thanks in advance for your time & efforts!
Cheers,
Vincent!

GrooveMonkee has a large selection of MIDI grooves in various formats for the different drum VIs. I'm pretty sure they have smooth jazz.

Happy drumming!

Yes, Groove Monkey was the first place I looked. They have a Jazz Midi drum loops pack which includes 'smooth' amongst other types, yet not exclusively smooth jazz, which is what I was looking for. Perhaps there is no such product, I'm not sure.
Anyway, thanks for that, I'll keep looking!
Cheers,
Vincent!

Smooth jazz also includes many elements of funk and R&B, and since one can do a lot of editing with MIDI grooves, including changing the amount of swing, etc., you could get a lot of mileage out of those types of loops as well. Just a thought.

Yeah, I see what you mean. So I got the product, and seems it will work just fine.
Thanks for your input!

+1 for the Groove Monkey products.
Big Fish Audio also has a number of nice products geared towards smooth jazz, but bw of their license agreement. Some may not allow you to use their loops in library music, so I'm personally very careful. Especially with their construction kits products.
But check out Peter Erskines and the Real Jazz offers from Platinum Samples:
https://www.platinumsamples.com/index.php . Also some of the Steve Ferrone (pop/rock) stuff can work for smooth jazz. Some smooth jazz utilizes rock influences, like Fourplay.
The latin and funk extension packs from Toontrack might also work well, especially at slower tempos.

Keep in mind, the "smoothness" may be more about the drum
samples than the drum
patterns.

+1 Yeah, and maybe even the velocities you dial in with the samples

Sometimes I'll have a R&B/Urban loop that's got the right groove, but wrong sounds, or extra sounds, or a tempo that doesn't stretch /slice well ... and I'll do the old classic "drum substitution." I start with the source clip, force it to the new tempo and then cut & paste in new single hit samples for kick, snare, hats, etc, lining them up with the keeper parts from the source clip. I delete the source clip and I'm good to go.
