Dear folksWhen working with an acoustic guitar sampled Audio Loops, I found a groove i like very much Its 8 bars in length play a G Maj 7 chord. How do you change to a Cm6 chord. what good is just one G maj7 chord.?????? How do construct a song using audio samples if you can't change chords.JodyG

Chances are that the loop software you're using won't allow you to change the chord structure. However, there's a program called Melodyne Studio that will take polyphonic audio files and allow you to change the pitch of individual notes within a chord. Oh you crazy jazz guys and your sustained chords. I was at my brothers today. Hes a classical guitarist. Hes practicing jazz pieces on the classical. I looked at his charts and was blown away. Most guitar players are pretty dense, granted, but if you bang the high A note on your piano, eventually he'll get it. Waive a scotch under his nose & it should come quicker.You're a decent piano player....You can't find a guitar player in NY who's open to a bartering deal? Samples only when necessary. Wade
