Help!!!! Is there any one out there with any experience exporting newly created audio tracks synced to video in Logic 7.0. Any advice or guesses at this point would be greatly appreciated. I've read the manual twenty times and have tried every combination I can imagine and still can't get my newly created audio track/video exported (.mov in quicktime format). I have everything perfectly synced in my Logic song and when I hit playback I see the video and hear the newly created audio. I just can't export the two together so I can send it out via the internet as a compressed quicktime or Mpeg4 video file. Do I need a separate piece of software like Final Cut to do this?

I use Logic 7 also. I just had a look and I don't see anywhere where the can be combined. I've only had to send out audio files and someone else locked them up. Final Cut will likely do what you need, and it's likely that Apple would like us to purchase more products for higher end productions like this. Maybe someone else knows. Bonne chance. yhidsMay 22, 2008, 1:19pm, mewman wrote:Help!!!! Is there any one out there with any experience exporting newly created audio tracks synced to video in Logic 7.0. Hi,Load your Logic Project and select options, when the drop down menu appears go down to movies. A sub menu will appear, select 'Export Audio to Movie' a sound settings box will appear for you to make further selections (you shouldn't need to make any selections here), simply click ok.At this point a Save As box will appear. This will allow you to create a new movie that will sync the audio to the movie. Note this is a new file, your original file will be left as......well.....originally filmed i.e without sound. Re-name your new file '.......with audio' (perhaps) and select a location. Click SAVE, a new box may appear that says 'select the audio tracks of movie to keep in new movie' simply click ok and your done. The file may bounce down as a .mov.Hope this works for you??

Hi Steve, andreh, and stoney. Thanks for your reply's. stoney, I did as you suggested, which is what I had tried before, but the newly created .mov still had no sound on it. Is it possible that I am missing something in the naming of my audio recording path? When the "select the audio tracks... box is opened, I have one choice of "sound(2 channels) 16 bit, 48000hz". I clicked on it, and it bounced, then converted the audio file, then saved it, but still no sound on the .mov. I feel so close to getting this but figure there is some really simple step that I am missing. Any thoughts?mewman

I don't use Logic but in Digital Performer, I use the same menu that I'd use if I was bouncing a mix, only I choose Quicktime Movie instead of .wav. then I choose the tracks I want to bounce and when the process is over, I get a Quicktime movie with the audio and everything. Of course, I have to have a movie open in DP at the time. It does it over whatever time range I've selected so I only get the length I want.Maybe you need to check your bounce (or whatever it's called in Logic) menu?I might be way off base but maybe this will help a little. Good luck!!Mazz

I would try a couple of things:If not already (as Mazz said) make sure the movie is open in the project so that the audio has something to bounce too. Sorry if that sounds patronizing, I am sure you already have done that just thinking of any small possibilities that could have been over looked? Also in the "select audio tracks" box tr selecting nothing at all just cick OK. See what happens.Check all your movies setting are correctly set up in the video tab of your preferences? This shouldn't effect the bounce but is still worth looking at.Alternatively perhaps you could if you haven't already. Bounce the project to a Stereo Mix as you would normally, open up a new project/autoload and import the Stereo File, open the movie and try bouncing the audio to movie again? Long shot but might help??If you still have problems I would email Apple Tech Support they may be able to help.Regards

Hi mazz and stoneyThank you both very much for you responses. There is nothing off base or patronizing about your suggestions. Still no luck though. I'm going to revue the details of the bounce window today to see if I'm missing something there. I'm also going to try your suggestion, stoney, of opening a new project and importing a stereo file of the new audio, freshly bounced, then open the movie in the new project. If that does'nt work then it's Apple Tech Support! Wish me luck!mewman
