Hey All,I'm new to "Digital" Performer, even though I've used Performer since the 1920's. I use the "Event List" a LOT, and it's recording C1 info (expression), but it doesn't show up in the Event List. I can't find how to do it in the manual, or in any DP menu. Help! Thanks in advance,Ern

This probably isn't the problem...but expression is not CC#1, it's CC#11. CC#1 is modulation. Is it possible that some events in the event list are "masked", i.e. not displayed? If you were masking CC#11 for example it wouldn't show, even though it would be recorded. I'm not a DP user btw, just theorizing...

Ern,Check the "view filter" settings. It should be set to "show all" by default. As matto said CC11 is expression, I'm thinking you made a typo.I've been using Performer since the 30s on a steam powered Mac and Digital Performer since the 1840s so I'm fairly familiar with it and maybe I can help out. Cheers,Mazz

Cheers,MazzHa! Thanx Matto & Mazz! Yea, it's CC11. The reason I thought it was C1 was the slider on my keyboard (Roland JV-90) says "C1." But, whatever, it IS recording expression, modulation, pitch bend etc. It's just not showing up in the Event List, but the other stuff is. I experimented today, and it's the ONLY thing that isn't there.I checked the "View All" settings, and it's not there, either. Could it be called something else? I don't see any reference to CC11 or expression at all in the manual. I was thinking I spent $$ on something that I can't use, and I was S.O.L! I'm SURE there's a setting I'm missing, but I can't find it. Wierd.Ern BTW, MY first Mac was powered by horses hitched to a post. They walked in a circle to generate the electricity.

Ern,If you go to the View Filter, in the top of the window it shows "Global View Filter". That's a little pull down menu, if you pull it down you'll also see "Event List View Filter". That might be where you're inadvertently filtering out CC11. I just opened a file I was working on and I see CC11 in my event list. It's a little triangle with #11 after it.Hope this helps!Mazz

I'm up and running!Man, you know more about DP than "Tech Support" at MOTU. (A job is awaiting you in Massachusettes if you want to move to the east coast ). The guy I talked to FINALLY (redial-busy; redial-busy; redial-busy; redial-busy etc.) had no idea what the problem was. Geez ---With appreciation,Ern

Excellent Ern! Glad it worked out!I already do tech support on my day gig and I'd like to get away from it, not deeper in to it! LOL I got my wife a mac a few years ago and bought the 3 year full tech support warranty and it's kept me off the hook and kept peace in the household! A great investment! Anyway, I'm always glad to help when I can, and then turn around and run like hell! Cheers!!Mazz
