Hey everyone. I found this mic for sale (Rode NTK used) w/ shock mount, cable and case for $385. I remember using a Rode mic in a studio years ago, and thought it was great, but don't remember the model. Any thoughts?thanksJustin

Hey Justin, I've had one of these and it's a good mic. When out of necessity I had to get rid of some mics I let it go because on my voice a MXL V69m sounds better (although not as quiet) at $300 new. I've used about every mic under the sun & if you swap out the Chinese tube in a MXL V69 with a Mullard NOS it's sounds about as good as anything I've ever used . . . just a tad on the noisey side though. And of course it seems every mic takes on a different character with every pre-amp which makes it even tougher recommending particular mics . . . BUT the NTK is good.

Hi Mather, The NTK is a good mic. A friend of mine used one for a guitar/vocal demo a little while ago and I thought the results were great. The price is consistant with what they are going for here in Canada. In fact, it looks like a pretty good deal. Just make sure you give it a try before you lay out the cash for it if it is used......just to make sure it hasn't been dropped!

That's my main mic. Got one hanging from a mic stand right next to me. I think I paid like $600 for it new about 6 years ago and it still sounds good to me.
