Wade, From what I heard, the Chris Heins Horns are pphhaaat! Kontakt is supposed to be awesome. I won't know until Friday. Drumagog is supposed to be real cool, in that you can change your drum sounds without having to re-record any audio. BFD, IMO is tough to work with (programming). Not sure about deluxe, but EZ Drummer & Addictive Drums seem alot easier. Sampletank 2 I have, but I don't think I've used it once. You'll probably get better sounds out of Kontakt 2. That's all I can say at this point. I'm sure others can give better experiences with the other equipment. Sounds like you've got some really good stuff to work with though.ibanez468

I don't know how Miroslav compares to Gold but I can say that Gold has the sound of the concert hall sampled in to the release trails of the samples. This gives Gold a more "Hollywood" big orchestra sound out of the box.Given the rest of the software mentioned, if you can't make great music with what is mentioned here, you can't make great music!! It's all top of the line stuff. You're a good writer, you should be able to make that software sing.Good luck,Mazz

Thanks guys! I'm really looking forward to digging into these sounds after hearing some of the stuff you & other members have done. Especially the strings, after being stuck in the Korg M-1-ish mode for awhile. We've already programmed some songs with BFD & I haven't had any problems yet. I'm just approaching them as I would a regular drum kit. Very realistic, I love them!Wade

Quote:Especially the strings, after being stuck in the Korg M-1-ish mode for awhile. Yeah wade, I've been rather reluctant to pull myself away from my comfort zone (Korg Triton) as well.Quote:We've already programmed some songs with BFD & I haven't had any problems yet. It was probably more error on my part than anything. But as far as how they sound, there's no denying they sound great! Have fun! ibanez468
