Juxtaposed channels

I just got received some Cds that I had made through the Discmakers online self service thing they offer. Three of the songs have the channels Juxtaposed! Left is right & vise-versa. I can't even imagine how this could be possible when just dealing with digital files . . . any of you super smart techies have any ideas? I called Discmakers but I'm not going to hear back from them until Mon. Of course I checked my online project file just to make sure I didn't do anything strange but everything there was as it should be. What a weired bummer. -billg-

That's really weird, but it's not unheard of for Diskmakers to screw up. A friend of mine got a batch of cds that had someone elses cds inside his cases.

The good news is that the songs overall do sound better on the Discmakers' disc . . . a bit cleaner & a wider stereo "spread". Kind of makes me wonder if the songs went through some kind of analog "mastering" step which would be really strange since I didn't pay for that. I guess it could just be better gear, discs etc., but in my "pea sized" brain going analog is the only way I can imagine channels getting mixed. In the big picture, and on these songs in particular, it really doesn't matter to anyone but me I guess . . . but the curiosity concerning how this could happen is driving me crazy (er). -billg-

I can't remember whose cds were in the cases, but I remember it was some big country star, like Clint Black or someone like that.
