Reason Adapted problems HELP!!

I recently purchased Pro Tools 7 and with it came Reason Adapted. I love it but there is a problem. I am trying to take drum patterns from redrum and put it in the sequencer. They tell me to place the left and right rulers on either side of where I want the pattern to show up. The problem is I can't get the rulers unstuck from the main cursor. Everytime I try to move them, they just go right back again. AAAGH!!!! Please help. Email me directly at petersullivan@rcn.comThanksPete
