Who in hell invented this contraption called a shockmount? In appearance it looks like some kind of midevil torture contraption..something a James Bond foe wore around his mouth when he threatened James, at best something an old fashioned dentist would use.Once I discovered my mic was facing the wrong way..HELLO! I tried to turn it and all the rubber bands came out and the thing looks like a puddle of rubber bands and plastic.Is there a trick to putting it back together. Geez we can put a man on the moon, but a shockmount still looks like THIS!

BTW does it matter what position the "arms" ie the little wire contraptions that jut out and look like an open key hole are in? Can they be on the side or back of mic and it doesnt matter?I did manage (to my surprise) to jury rig the mount..it looks almost well shockmountie again!
