About PRO's and getting the publisher's share

Hi all. I'm new here. Have a question concerning the PRO's. I'm a songwriter who has not signed with an publishing company. (and hence owns 100% of both writer's share and publisher's share) If I affiliate with BMI and somehow successfully got a track on a TV commercial. Would I be able to get BOTH the writer's share and publisher's share from BMI without having to start my own publishing company and affiliate that with BMI?Thanks!
