In the Indie rock genre, a-la Green day??
Its a new day, in an old school, I stick out like a sore thumb you see. Everyone is changing but I'm still plain ole me. All I want to do is just fit in but then sometimes not sure, cause when a zebra takes its stripes off you know it just becomes a hore....see!
Maybe? too suggestive? Retarded? LOL
I dont know, Full of thoughts every day/ lol

Not a value judgement; I jes' don't think Billy Joe would write, "horsey".

True, if I knew who Billy Joe was. If you mean Billy Joel I don't believe he is Indie rock like Green day. I just thought it was funny, and that the meaning behind it was actually relevent to todays kids trying to change themselves all the time to be like someone else. That is why the reference to "zebra takes it's stripes off" (changing to look like everyone else) You just become a Horsie (or Whore.. See) to society selling yourself for the next big trend.
But as they say, if you have to explain it, it has already lost. LOL

I don't think hor-see will work in many cases including Green Day. It might be a little too cutesy. BUT I have to add that many things I didn't care for when only reading, came off great when in the music.
It would be good if you work on it more and post all or most of a whole song-- at least 2 verses and chorus. It's harder to comment on a small section.

Naw, I got that. Billy Joe is the singer/guitarist for Green Day.
