Hey all,I'm going to be in Nashville on business next week and just wondering about whether it would be worth trying to hawk one of my songs while I'm there. Has anyone tried doing this in person, or is it waste of time to show up with unsolicited material? Thanks,Cameron

You might want to plan a little further in advance, next time, as it's doubtful you could even score an open mic slot in less than a week. Unless you already know and are reasonably tight with someone, I'd say your odds of getting in front of anybody who can do you some good are next to nil. By all means you should avail yourself of any opportunities that are available, such as visiting the ASCAP and/or BMI offices, they sometimes have seminars or may know of some industry events; hit up their website. Jimi Heath would be the gal to ask about this, I believe some others hereabouts have clocked some time in Music City as well.

Thanks Mojo... I've got Jimi's studio working on a demo for me now so I'll ask her next time I'm talking to her.Cam

hello, I'm new to TAXI but I know someone in Nashville that will listen to your song. He is a close friend who has 6 Grammy's and over 250 gold and platinum to his credit. He is a legend in Nashville and a very nice person. I just moved from there after 6 years working with him. Let me know if you would like the contact info.Dennis Logan
